The accolades continue to flow in for the Brand-New Mazda CX-9, with specialist adventuring magazine Oz Roamer recognising the family-sized SUV as one of its Cars of the Year.
Having just been awarded the coveted Wheels Car of the Year trophy, the Brand-New Mazda CX-9 Touring variant took out Oz Roamer’s Car of the Year in the ‘seven-seat AWD SUV $45,000-$60,000’ category.
“Mazda’s i-ACTIV AWD system is integral to the Mazda CX-9’s impressive handling, allowing it to perform in all conditions, including on forest trails and in the snow,” said Oz Roamer 4WD specialist Anthony Hood.
“With significantly improved NVH, the Mazda CX-9 is also a revelation in design implementation, with Mazda creating a stylish, roomy SUV that is ideal for larger families. It’s a very impressive vehicle.”
This is the fourth major Australian award for the Brand-New Mazda CX-9 having also won the Carsales and the Behind The Wheel Car of the Year late last year.
“This award is a little bit of icing on top of the cake for the Brand-New Mazda CX-9 this awards season because it highlights its strong all-road capabilities,” said Mazda Australia marketing director Alastair Doak.
“The Brand-New Mazda CX-9 has the comfort and space for families that regularly enjoy the great outdoors. It also has an impressive 2.5 litre turbo engine with plenty of useable power and torque, and the highly regarded i-ACTIV all-wheel drive system provides more traction were required.
“We highly value this award and are delighted with the recognition.”
