There is an 8” touchscreen infotainment system with Sat Nav, digital radio, and 11 Bose speakers. There are some interesting features unique to the Mazda 6, such as traffic sign recognition linked to the cruise control or speed limiter and rear cross traffic alert.
The Ford Mondeo Titanium EcoBoost
This is also the flagship of the Mondeo range, this car is late in its lifecycle, but updates have kept it relatively fresh. This car has many of the standard features seen on the Mazda 6 listed above, but it does come with Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay support and the stereo system only has 9 Sony speakers. The Ford has some unique features, such as a drivers knee airbag and the ability to contact emergency service using Bluetooth after an accident.
The Verdict
Both of these cars are feature rich including safety features, such as autonomous emergency braking, driver attention monitoring, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane departure warnings, ABS brakes and electronic stability control. These features have given both cars a 5 star ANCAP safety rating. Both of these cars are very close in features and price, but the Mazda 6 edges it with a perky engine and handling, which makes it far more fun to drive.
